Q3. Some people like being alone; others are happiest when they are with a crowd of people. Which do you prefer?
To me, I like being together with friends. I love to have their company. What’s best to me is that we can go out together in groups of not more than 4 people as because the more people there is, the noisiest it gets. When I am with friends, I feel very easy because I can talk to them about how I feel, like my unhappiness to something and I can share my joy with them too. I love being alone too, if I am moody because if I get very angry or agitated, I tend to scold people so if I am really angry, I will ask my friends to leave me alone. For the next few paragraphs, I shall tell you my view of being alone and with friends.
When you are with friend, the advantages are that you have someone to talk to and not think of something unpleasant. Like if you failed your exam, you can find your friends to talk to about how you feel and these is one of the best example because some people after failing their exam, they tend to think of the negative side of view and will feel more stress. Friends is someone you can turn to if you have trouble with something and by talking to them, you can solve your problem and not feel so stress. When you are going for a movie, its best to have your friends accompany you because it is really boring to watch movie alone and if with friends, you still can have a topic to talk to them with. The disadvantages is that if you are with a group of many people, you might do wrong stuffs like stealing. It really depends on what kind of friends you are with. Some people mixed with the wrong group of people and suffer from peer pressure in doing things they don’t like or illegal.
When you are alone, the advantages are that it is very quiet. Some people enjoy studying alone because they prefer silent as they can concentrate better and think better. They can just simply study with music and that’s what we call, multi tasking. Some people can’t take noise as they think that noise is disturbing them and they can’t concentrate. The disadvantages are that they will start ‘emo-ing’. With yourself alone, you just think of the dark side of life and neglect the ones around you. You can’t share anything with anyone and bad things will come to your mind.

My favourite food
My favourite food is spaghetti. I like its taste and the cheese topping and the tomato sauce with it. I enjoyed eating it when I am free after school. But it is very fattening because of the spaghetti that is high in fat content. In market, there is a stall which I like the spaghetti a lot. The stall is located near a mini wok stall.
Another place where you can have nice spaghetti is pastamania. All of the food in it is nice like the baked rice, Bolognese and many more. So far, I have tasted teriyaki spaghetti, cheese spaghetti, chicken spaghetti and I like teriyaki spaghetti the most (: it is really nice. I like eating it a lot. I also love eating western food, especially chicken chop.
Once I bought the teriyaki spaghetti home for my parents and my brother to eat. They also like it and they say it’s nice. Recently, I haven’t been going there to have my lunch because remedial and cca that I have to went home for my dinner instead. I miss the spaghetti. One of my free days, I shall visit the stall again .

letter to ex teacher-
Mdm Jean Tan
Hello, how are you doing? I hope you still remember me. I will like to share with you the changes I have experience in school since year 2008. This is a stressful year for us as we have our O’level, but I enjoyed it a lot. We have students from shanghai due to the foreign exchange programme (twinning programme) and this year Chinese New Year celebrations is awesome. We have choir performance, choir performance, song sang and instrument played by shanghai people, peel the orange competition and dance performance etc. we all enjoyed it.
The school is building an indoor stadium and this year, we have eight classes in secondary one. Our form teacher is Ms Marilyn Goh and we have Ms Heng who teaches us English, history and social studies. My classmates from secondary one are all separated into different class now but I like my current class. All of us have matured and I bet you will not be able to recognize us even if you see us outside. Our classroom is located on the 6th floor and the weather is quite cold especially in the mornings. The food in our canteen when we were in secondary one had changed too.
New Year is around the corner. Are you happy? Because I am. The walls outside our classroom have been repainted with many different colours. The wall outside our classroom was painted maroon red. We also have tables placed outside our library which we do not have in secondary one. The school has changed a lot all these years. Maybe one of your free days you can come back and have a look. There are many new teachers too. Hope to hear from you soon. Good bye.

My first day in school
When I first entered Kent ridge secondary school in 2005, I was very nervous. I woke up early in the morning and prepared myself to get ready for school. I had my parents accompanied to meet up with my aunt (xiuhui) and her parents. We waited patiently for the bus to come while checking if our uniform was neatly tucked in. when the bus came. Our parents watched us board the bus. The bus was filled with studies and it was very noisy. I guess they wear as excited as I was. When I reached the school, we were asked by the councilors to sit in the hall. Audris was the first person I talked to because she used to be studying in the same kindergardan with me.
After the principal, ms chamb, finished talking, we went back to class. I sat beside audris at the first two seats on the right. Beside me on the other row was Vani and Cheryl Yeung. The school is quite big, bigger than my primary school. My form teacher was Mdm Jean Tan. I did not remember if I had made any friends on the first day but I had fun. My class was 1E4 which is located on the first floor. I like my class. After that, we toured around the school with seniors bringing us. We did not have lessons on the first day as we were in hall most of the time. We played games and get to know classmates name. We also learnt mass dance and I enjoyed it.
It was quite nice. After a few hours of interaction, we finished school at 1:15pm and I took 282 home with Xiuhui. It was an enjoyable day for me.
